All In

This year our church has set the focus to be “All In.”  This resonated with me right from January 1 and all through this year.  My mission this past year has been all about the “One Domino” and focusing on the one thing that if you do that it will make everything else easier or unnecessary.  Now, my question to myself and to those I serve is…”Are you ‘All In’ regarding your “One Thing Your Committed to?”

I’ve watched movies with the setting being at a casino and people are playing with poker chips.  At some point you hear some shout out that they are all in and push every chip they have to the center of the table.  I’ve seen others make a decision to “zip line” and they take their first step into the air… I can see they are all in.  Another movie that moves me so much is the movie “Facing the Giants.” The coach works with serious dedication to get a young player to up his game, commit to becoming all in and cross the field on his hands and knees with another young player on his back.  The team and coach encourage him and keep him motivated to stay all in and accomplish far more than he ever dreamed he could.

We all have set goals at different times and most of you have set goals for this year.  It might be a financial goal, a health goal or even a goal to engage in a new relationship.  Are you driving in a “Zone” of complacency or are you paying attention to where you are going. The goals, you put in place, may have been affected by the “dirty windows” that we talked about last week and yet they are still very valuable to you.   Go back and look at them through your “Clean Windows.”

It’s time to check in to see where we are “All In” and where we drifting away from what is really important for us and become super charge once again.

Here are the areas I want you to look at with a magnifying glass and a critical eye to make sure you are “All In” and not neglecting what are the most important things to commit or recommit to.

  • Spiritual
  • Relationships
  • Physical/Health
  • Financial
  • Personal
  • Business and Career

Have your strategies worked so far?  What has gotten in the way of your strong commitment and being “All In” in these important areas of your life?

It’s time to become very “present” to you and your life.  Don’t move forward until you have taken some time to assess, adjust and put some action steps in place to be “All In”.

Be All In… Your journey will be so much richer.

And who is in your corner and has your back?  Who is cheering you on to accomplish more than you thought possible?

It will pay you well to enlist an accountability person, coach or mentor to keep you on track.  If you don’t have somebody like that in your life, feel free to email me at or send me a private message on Facebook. No need to go the journey alone.
