The Most Overlooked Key for Success

The Most Overlooked Key for Success

“The Happiness Factor”
…As you live the life you love

“Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.” Albert Schweitzer

Every morning I make the greatest effort to jump out of bed, throw my hands in the air and shout out as loud as I can “I love my life.” I must admit on occasion I have to go back and do this activity again… to really kick my heart, life and mind into gear to look at all of my blessings and possibilities.

“The moments of happiness we enjoy take us by surprise. It is not that we seize them, but that they seize us.” Ashley Montagu

What is your happiness ratio… how often do you overflow with joy, laughter and real fun? Rate yourself on a scale of 1-10. Hum? Is your score high enough?
We think if we work hard, I’ll be more successful and when I’m more successful, then I’ll be happier, and by putting happiness on the opposite side of success your brain never gets there. Our brains work the best in the positive area being more positive in the present. Our brains are capable of adapting to the world in a happier state when we live in the positive. It’s time to shift our Happiness Factor and adjust our Happiness Ratio. This will help you begin the process if your score is below an “8”.
Creating lasting positive change by practicing positive activities for at least 21-days in a row… is a great igniter for you to realize positive transformation. Here is a great way to get started:
• Share 3 Gratitudes each day verbally or in hand written noteshappynnes
• Journaling – the good things in each day
• Exercise – kicks in all of the great positive chemicals in your body
• Meditation – Gives your mind and body a time to reflect on the good
• Random Acts of Kindness – Doing for others (even if they don’t know who you are) will lift your life, energy and purpose like nothing else.
• Then watch the TED Talk link I’m sharing with you below. You will really become inspired when you hear Shawn Achor’s short presentation… and please watch the entire delivery.. (12 quick minutes)

You’ve heard me speak about this so often that I hope you won’t discount the power and value of your “Why” for creating the life you love. Discovering your Why- this is a powerful force that explains why you do the things you do, what motivates you, what drives you, what causes you to like doing one activity over another. Your why defines your comfort zones and helps explain why you may be more comfortable in some situations over others, and the people you may gravitate to. Your why is revealed in the way you communicate – in every story you share including the words you use to share, the emotions that are attached and the values that drive you.

Stay connected to your “Why” and let it bring you happiness. Your “Why” is your Magnet for joy and fulfillment.
You now have the overlooked “key” to success – for every area of your life… work life, play life, love life, health life and “You” life.
Find your “Laugh out loud” place… to live your “Life out loud” space. cc
